No. That would be a too stretched-out and way too happy ending for Attack on Titan. It wouldn't fit at all.
Not necessarily "deviate". Just stretch out a bit of what we already see, add more dialogue, stuff like that. Isayama did that on other occasions throughout the anime, like in season 1.
I don't want to compare two great animes/mangas, but I always see Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood as a good example of an epilogue. The story is finished in the second to last episode, but the last episode is a full 20-minutes-long epilogue. I hope the Final Season does something similar with its last episode.
I hope they fix the pacing in the anime, maybe adding more time for an epilogue and add some worldbuilding of the Post-Rumbling world. That way we could see more of the Yeagerists and their place in the world.
Yeah, chances are the Yeagerists will try to set themselves as world leaders or something, starting a new war. The surviving Titan Shifters even say there's a chance that the Yeagerist might kill them as they get close to the island.
So...this final chapter hit hard. It was a bittersweet ending, but I liked it. I'm glad most of the fan theories were wrong because some of them were a long stretch. It ended how I expected it to end tho, with a similar twist as Code Geass, another classic anime I love. I have to admit tho, this last arc felt really rushed, with almost no space for the epilogue. I hope they fix it when they adapt it in the Final Season. But overall, it was a nice farewell to these characters and story...at least for a few months before they release the new anime episodes.
From what I understand, it's the same season that only takes a hiatus in the middle. The teaser doesn't say "Part 2", it still says "Final Season".
Either way, I'm glad they announced it already, and hopefully, the wait won't be too long.
Both friends and curiosity, but mostly curiosity. A few friends told me about it, but it took me months until I decided to watch it.
It's the Rumbling
Am I the only one who found Hange's death pointless? What was she trying to accomplish by attacking the Rumbling Titans by herself?
Yep, it is. The last of this season, anyway.
Crunchyroll is promoting the season finale as the definite end of the anime when there is a lot of content left to be adapted after these next three episodes.
It's hard to believe that there are just three episodes left for this season. I doubt they'll finish the season with chapter 122, because these last few episodes had a slow pace, and there's no time in just three episodes for that big event.
Throwback to when we thought the Beast Titan was the main big boss behind Attack on Titan's story.
I don't remember any theories I had. Maybe that Titan shifters (except for Eren) were Titans who evolved and developed their abilities after many years of roaming the Earth. But I don't usually like making/reading theories because they are usually wrong lol.
One thing I remember for sure is that I was convinced Zeke was Erwin's father.
"Once I'm dead, I won't even be able to remember you. So I'll win, no matter what. I'll live, no matter what!"
I watched it for the first time in January 2019. I even managed to rewatch it before Season 3 part 2 came out. I remember I devoured the first 5 episodes in one sitting, and I was already hooked with it. After that, I don't remember much of my experience while watching it. But I remember devouring Season 2 in just two days.
That scene was fun in he manga, but in the anime I found the voice acting a bit annoying. A glimpse of humor and light hearted scenes in the middle of this dark and deppressing season is welcome tho lol.
The intro with Armin and Hitch? Yeah, it is in the manga.
