Stop killing my favorite characters please.
I think if we talk about season 4 in general, there isn't really a "good side" and a "bad side". Before the announcement and start of the rumbling, there were actually two sides, fighting eachother: Paradis and Marley + the rest of the world. However, since the start of the rumbling, we have Eren's side and the New Survey Corps' side. I don't believe Eren is the antagonist right now, nor a protagonist. I think about Eren more as an anti-hero than a protagonist. Armin is more a protagonist to me, since he's also the narrator of the story. But I honestly don't know who I have to point as the antagonist at this moment.
You're welcome :))
@Shuyad I forgot to add that you have to do this every time you go to the community homepage.
@Shuyad This is posted in the Manga section and since you don't read the manga, this is a spoiler for you. I recommend you to go to "Categories" on the homepage (see image) and choose for the category "Anime", to prevent you get possibly spoiled.
I don't like to be spoiled so I try to help prevent others to get spoiled ♡
@Tainted Moondust I really uderstand your vision since I also read the manga. In the manga, there are indeed some things that I don't like about him as well. I just am curious how people who don't read the manga see him. Let's discuss further in the Manga section :))
@KittenCat852 That's exactly how I think about it!
Even though I like Zeke, I really hope Levi will kill him. For Erwin.
For the people who haven't seen the anime until season 3 part 2, episode 22 to be particular, don't read this! This post contains spoilers!!!
I really want to give my opinion about this.
At the end of season 3 part 2, we see how Floch Forster isn't pleased with the choice of giving Armin the injection. Lots of poeple talk hate about Floch since then, but actually, I understand his frustration.
Floch was the only surviver of the Beast Titan's attack and found Erwin, dying. He carried a 90kg man to the Shinganshina District, on a roof top. He did all the effort because he wanted to save Erwin.
Floch didn't want Armin dead. He wanted Erwin alive.
Everything he told on the memorial was true, even though it was harsh at times. Levi was being led by the emotions of Eren and Mikasa, who wanted Armin alive, because he was their childhood friend. Levi wanted to give the injection to Erwin, but choose Armin, because of Eren and Mikasa.
Floch thought about the fact that Erwin was the one who could save humanity.
The only mistake Floch made in that scene was the bad timing and the lack of tact. In my opinion, that is the only reason why you may be mad at him.
But also in my opinion, I think people should think twice before they say that Floch was mean. Like I said before, Floch didn't want Armin dead. He wanted Erwin alive. His opinion is not based on emotions, but on ratio. Don't get me wrong, I love Armin so much. But when it comes on functionality and if I was there to chose, I would've chosen Erwin.
What do you guys think about Floch? I'm curious about your opinions!
Reiner and Bertholdt, without a doubt. It came so unexpected and it gave me a huge mindblow. I knew from the first moment the Female Titan appeared, that it was Annie, because of the appearances of the Female Titan and because I knew Eren could shift in a Titan so it seemed logical someone else could do it as well. And when I saw Mikasa and Levi before I watched SnK (a friend showed me), I thought they were cousins.
What Eren does, isn't completely right. How much I love and prefer the idea of having a talk with all sides to find a solution, it won't end if one of the sides get wiped out. Someone has to be the first to do something evil and to end all the misery. If no side does anything, everything gets stuck in a vicious circle and then the misery never ends. Also, Eren isn't depressed nor jealous. He's highly dissapointed. The idea of people outside the walls, the idea of them sending the Titans to Paradis and them being the cause of the many deaths (especially his own mother's and Hannes' deaths) dissapoints him. Eren doesn't sacrifice humanity only for Historia and the founder Ymir, but also for the people who bore and raised him.
@Joaquin Romero Day I would go for Jean as well. He has a lot of qualities and I think he'd be the best choice for it.
I would follow Marco's plan: having a talk.
Hanji, Sasha and Jean actually
@Petthatdog101 I think Eren is neither a protagonist nor an antagonist. I'd rather call him being an anti-hero.
Eren lied to Mikasa and Armin, because he doesn't want to involve them in what he's planning to do.
Why would he protect them, if he hated them?
I really recommend the manga. I watched the anime first and then read the manga and I was so surprised because they are a lot of things that didn't make it in the anime. If you read the manga, keep in mind that you'll have to stop after chapter 90 if you don't want to be spoiled for season 4 of the anime. I also recommend the manga of the OVAs.
That's true. Blaming him for being chosen is also one of the mistakes he made. It's also true that Armin didn't ask for this.
At this moment, my opinion about Floch and Armin beig chosen is completly different and I'm happy he's chosen. I want to say more things about it, but since this is the anime board, I can't say more things, because it comes out of the manga and I don't want to spoil people for season 4 ♡
