Attack on Titan: Junior High (進撃！ 巨人中学校Shingeki! Kyojin Chūgakkō?, lit. Attack! Titan Junior High School) is a parody manga written and illustrated by Saki Nakagawa, based on the original manga by Hajime Isayama.[1] So far three volumes have been published.
It has been announced by Kodansha USA that they will begin distribution in March, 2014.[2] In early October of 2015, the Junior High anime debuted on Tokyo Metropolitan Television, RKK, Nippon BS Broadcasting, and SBS.
The story follows Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman entering Titan Jr. High, a school where humans and Titans study in the same area in coexistence. Because of a "traumatic" event, where the Colossus Titan ate his lunch back in middle school, Eren hates the Titans, and is constantly trying to find a way to rid the earth of their kind. Because of this, he has a hard time making friends, much to Mikasa's worry.
Eren Yeager - Eren is the main protagonist of the series. After the Colossus Titan ate Eren's lunch ⎯which included his favorite food, cheese loaf⎯back in middle school, Eren developed an intense hatred of the Titans. His one track mind makes it hard for him to make friends, and gets him into fights with Jean, and other Titans.
Mikasa Ackerman - She is Eren's childhood friend. She is very protective of him, and wants Eren to fit into a high school life. She is so attached to Eren that if he is not around, she becomes very depressed. Her depression is so strong that it also affects those around her as well.
Armin Arlert - After letting down his team in a dodge ball tournament, Armin remained home for a long time. He had spent this time studying RPG games, and learning about worlds of fantasy. He has a futon with kitties on it named Bigbee, and wears it on his head. If he does not have it, he becomes ill.
Annie Leonhart - After everyone started making fun of Eren for his love of cheese loaf, Annie became too embarrassed about it to admit that it was her favorite food, too. For this, she hated Eren. But after he apologized for putting her in such a position, Annie began to warm up to him, much to the annoyance of Mikasa.
Colossus Titan - The Colossus Titan is the principal of the school, and the Titan that ate Eren's lunch back in middle school.
Levi - Levi is an upperclassman and a member of the Survey Club. He is a clean freak, and easy to anger. While he may seem cold towards everyone, he is actually very nice. This is shown when he stole Armin's futon so he could fix the rip in it.
Erwin Smith - Teacher and head of the Survey Club.
Sasha Blouse - Sasha is in the same class as Eren and Mikasa. She is a complete glutton, and is always seen eating something, or very hungry. She is not too bright, but she is very athletic.
Connie Springer - Connie is in the same class as Eren and Mikasa. he is often very laid-back and gets in trouble at school due to his lack of motivation to study for tests.
Jean Kirstein - Jean is in the same class as Eren and Mikasa. He gets into fights with Eren often, and has a crush on Mikasa. He sees himself as a genuine intellectual, and appears to be wealthy.
Marco Bott - Marco is in the same class as Eren and Mikasa. He is normally seen hanging around Jean.
