Sasha unsuccessfully attempts to cut the Titan's nape with an axe, and then notices the child in the room. Sasha apologizes to the mother as she decides to abandon her, and successfully takes her child to safety. The woman later dies from her wounds.[19][18] |

Upon the return of the Survey Corps from their 57th Expedition to reclaim Wall Maria, this boy is seen with his sister Ellie, who is jumping up and down in an attempt to see over the large crowd of people. He calls for her, telling her to climb up a ladder with him so that the two of them can see.[30]
He climbs the ladder with Ellie and look at the Survey Corps. Eren Yeager, provoked by the comments of the people in the crowd, sits up; Mikasa Ackerman then points out Ellie and her brother to Eren. Eren looks at the two children on the ladder, and the boy marvels as the Survey Corps passes by, amazed and exalted by the fact that they continue to fight despite their losses.[31] When the boy looks at Eren, a brief memory of Eren and Mikasa as children appears, with Eren running alongside Mikasa to go see the Survey Corps, who had just returned.[32] |

When the Special Operations Squad appears in Trost, he and his fellow merchants begin accosting them, complaining of business that they have lost due to the Survey Corps' false report that Wall Rose had fallen. Levi realizes that a carriage is approaching them, and this man tries to distract him but is quickly disarmed by Levi.[34]
When Flegel Reeves tricks a member of the Military Police Brigade into admitting that Dimo Reeves was assassinated by the Military Police for trying to help the Survey Corps, this man is among the Trost citizens to reveal themselves to have been listening, promising that he will attest to what the Military Police member said.[35] On the day that the Survey Corps is to depart to seal the hole in Wall Maria, this man is seen among the citizens cheering for them.[36] |
