Attack on Titan TACTICS (進撃の巨人 TACTICS Shingeki no Kyojin TACTICS?) is a free real-time strategy mobile game released for iOS and Android devices in 2019.

The main story features the first season of the Attack on Titan anime, while also including original content outside the anime and manga.

Story Mode[]

This is a unique feature that the game mode contains and is divided into nine chapters, with each chapter increasing exponentially in difficulty.

The Nine Chapters are:

  • Chapter 1 (First Battle)
  • Chapter 2 (The World the Girl Saw)
  • Chapter 3 (I Can Hear His Heartbeat)
  • Chapter 4 (Primal Desire)
  • Chapter 5 (Female Titan)
  • Chapter 6 (Forest of Giant Trees)
  • Chapter 7 (Crushing Blow)
  • Chapter 8 (Assault on Stohess)
  • Chapter 9 (Beast Titan)

The story mode contains two different types of levels: the Normal mode, which is the level that all players are required to clear before they can then move on to the next section which is the Hard mode. In that mode players can obtain higher quantities of rewards, including more experience to increase their players ranks or more money to buy items with.

This is a unique non official character development scene that has been created to show the change in the characters across the story. There is at least one episode per variety of character and each episode contains different aspects from the specific character showing their story. For example: if there is a character with 3 card varieties, there are at least 3 episodes showing that characters' development across the story.

This is another unique event which has at least 5 events which consistently change after a limited period of time, except for three.

The three that do not change are: the Gold challenge, the Awakening challenge and the Training challenge. Here the player can gain specific rewards such as gold, training items and awakening medals which can boost the character's overall rank, proficiency and level.

These events have a limited time in which they can be carried out in and each limit is refreshed after twenty four hours. For example, for the Gold event, the main event can be done once and the side missions can be carried out 5 times in a day.

End of Service[]

Attack on Titan TACTICS ended service on August 30, 2020, 23:00 PDT, as it was announced via X.[1]
