Erwin Smith's death and rant.
I'm a very big fan of Erwin, and yes, Levi is one of my favorite characters (After Sasha, Mikasa, and Jean), but Erwin is my most. His character is complex, and even though he's quite ruthless, he has a human side. A very human one in fact. So I'd like to state why Erwin would've been a better choice in injecting the titan serum.
First off, I'm not going to say Armin is horrible, I really like Armin, but I have to say I'm heartbroken that Levi chose Armin over Erwin (Makes me like him less, I'm sorry). Sure, Eren said that Armin has done better than Erwin in the battle, sure, he suspected Annie, sure, he's highly intellegent. However, in terms of importance, Erwin is much more important than Armin. Not a good time for Attack on titan fans?...
So, the two live action films were garbage, you'll have the time to make a baby before the season 2 comes out and people complain about its surexploitation (spin-off, light novel, publicity) I even heard people say Attack on titan was mainstream stuff like Fairy Tail! (no offence if you're a fan) And the other day I had a discussion with an acquaintance I know's a big fan saying she was fed up with it.
I guess it's no big deal, just some people who complain (which I can understand) but I have the feeling it's like a step by step general fed-up, if I can say. So, well, I wouldn't ask a community of fans if they're fed up with Attack on titan, but don't you fear it might be damaging for its future?

Attack on Titan Season 2 announced for SPRING 2017
It was announced at today's Shingeki Festival's Reading and Live event that Attack on Titan Season 2 will be premiering in the Spring of 2017.
Isayama also wrote a letter acknowledging the long wait for the sequel but hopes the fans still look forward to it. A key visual of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the Armored and Colossal Titans was shown to the attendees.

Hey everyone, something that's had me thinking since the day i saw Levi in action was How fast is he?
in volume 7 of the AoT manga Levi is fighting the Female titan, he uses the enormous trees in the area to sneak up behind the Female titan, however she notices this and unleashes a right cross as she turns around. Levi just barely evades it, and then goes on to roll up her arm, doing so, cutting her arm multiple times in the process.
This is incredible, the way he reacts and takes action fitting for the situation in just seconds! maybe not even that.

Personal complaints about Attack on Marvel
I personally cannot stand Attack on Marvel, first off, it is WAY to short, It would've been a bit better if it was 45 pages long, second, WHY DID THE AVENGERS LOOSE??!! It makes zero since how spider-man can pierce the skin of a Titan or how Hulk, who is basically a 3 meter green Titan, can take out a titan at all... It makes ZERO since what-so-ever, then the Guardians of the Galaxy came, how do you expect a puny racoon to take out a 100+ Meter Titan? Hajime Isayama, creator of Attack on Titan, was recently interviewed for the August 2016 issue of Japanese magazine Gong Kakutogi. Among the several topics he talked about, there is an interesting part where he addresses the ending of the series. Annie's Redemption
So, after seeing Chapter 77, I just can't help but feel that we'll see more of Annie, and she'll somehow end up redeeming herself. Example: The Corps gets backed into a corner, and are about to lose their position, ending the mission and ensuring humanity's destruction. Then they hear a familiar scream, from the 57th expedition. The titans turn around to go after the source(The Female Titan, obviously) which lets the Corps break out and win the battle. That theory has a big hole in it, though. How would Annie's ability stack up against Zeke's ability to control titans?

Colossal Titan?
This is me speculating again, Bertholdt is still not found, as Armin stated in chapter 74 and 75, yet i believe he is still inside the walls as they yet havent searched inside (Duh, 15 meter Armored titan) so i believe he is still in the wall waiting for one of the other. Either he saves Reiner from Eren, squad Hange and Squad Levi *without Levi* or kills the horses if the smaller 3-7 meter classes fail the attack on the horses, possibly killed by the survey corps members thats keeping and eye out for the horses.
My second theory is that Bertholdt is inside the barrels the that the Quadrupedal Titan has on its back. The reason i think that is one of the barrels has holes that resembles the peek holes that Bertholdt was using. its also likel…

This is just me thinking with my own logic, but...
As i remember Levi was given the Titan Serum.
in the battle against the Beast titan (not out by the time this is written) if he uses the titan serum it would turn him into a mindless titan until he eats someone with the same ability as Eren, but if he injects the titan serum on/in (idk) would that turn the Beast titan into a mindless titan, or have any effect at all? New Survey Corps Squad Leaders
In Chapter 72 of the SNK manga, three previously unseen Squad Leaders were introduced in a meeting with Erwin Smith, Hange Zoë, and Levi Ackerman. In the just-released Chapter 75, Erwin mentions three of the Squad Leaders' names: Dirk, Marlene, and Klaus. I've reviewed both chapters extensively, and have been able to somewhat determine which of the Squad Leaders.
The blond woman on the couch is most likely Marlene, the leader of Squad Marlene, as she is the only female in the room besides Hange (unless you consider Hange to be male in the manga, in which case she is the only female). The blond man sitting next to her can be seen giving orders to the squad protecting the horses, meaning he must be Klaus, the leader of Squad Klaus (who Erwin …
In the end, will the anime have 3 Seasons?
I've thought about the subject of publication with chapters and with the anime for quite a bit, and from what I can see, it looks like the anime will end up with 3 seasons, and the manga will end up with 100 chapters. It should finish being written somewhere from 2017 to possibly up to February 2018.
This was based off of statistics based off of when the first chapter was released, September 2009, comparing it to Chapter 50, which was published in September 2013. Comparing to that, the series should end in the 2017 arena, but if the chapters continue to strictly be released monthly, then that's what would calaculate to february 2018 if there are meant to be 100 Chapters in the end.

A New Character?
So, today I was randomly looking up information on the Attack on Titan anime when I found something interesting: in FUNimation's announcement of the English cast for AOT, a character we don't have a page for named Mobb is reported as being voiced Matthew Ham. I was wondering if anyone on the wiki had any information about this?
EDIT: I also found in another one of its cast announcements (they released, like, five different announcements over the course of a week, each with around eight characters and their english voices), a character called "Waltz" who is voiced by Kyle Phillips. However, like Matthew Ham, Phillips is never credited in the anime for voicing a specific character, but for providing "additional voices".

Attack on Titan Season 2 Preview Revealed
I heard that this might've been shown at the end of the second recap movie, but here we have, with voice acting, a release (might be a leak) of anime content where Hange talks to Nick on the wall... man it is real.

Attack on Titan Live-Action Movies US Release Dates
The first part of the live-action movie of Attack on Titan premiered on August 1 in Japanese theaters, but here in the Americas were waiting for the release date of the movie in our theaters. Now, FUNimation has announced the screening dates for both the first part and End of the World in US and Canada.
Like in Japan, the movies will screen one month apart, with Part 1 screening in a limited theatrical release on September 30, October 1 and October 7, and Part 2 airing three weeks later on October 20, 22 and 27.

My theory is that Annie is dead. If Annie was alive, she would probably be awake by now. Plus, how could she survive in a crystal without any food for like two and a half months (yes, its a month, cause clash of the titans takes two days to complete if you look at it in one perspective and the uprising took two months and at most two weeks). The Beast Titan also said that Annie could wait, so that's more time she'd be stuck in there.

Ever since the cast of the Attack on Titan live-action movie was revealed, there is a question that fans have been constantly doing without finding explanation: where is Levi?
Everybody knows that Levi is not only the strongest Survey Corps soldier, but also easily the most popular character of the series, outclassing even the protagonist Eren Yeager. Feelings about the Live Adaptation...
The Attack on Titan Anime is great where ever you'd look at it. It's the best anime adaptation that I've watched so far from the popular manga series with few tweaks on it. Except that, ironically speaking, I didn't saw the manga so... yeah.
Anyways, about the AoT Live-Adaptation, I don't know, I feel the excitement flowing out on my vains with fear. Of course, you'll be excited because you're favorite characters from the anime you'd watch or from the mangas you'd read will be in a movie in a Live-Action way. Review of Attack on Titan: Live-Action Movie
This is not my review, as I haven't seen the movie yet, but Hope Chapman from Anime News Network did it and wrote an interesting critic that I want to share. Some points I can address from it:
- Eren and Mikasa are apparently confirmed to be a couple in the movie.
- The story takes place in the future of our timeline, that's why there are RPGs, tanks and even airplanes.
- The Walls were built by humans, so probably there's no First King, Coordinate, Wall Titans, etc.
- It is a pure horror film, and even gorier than the original manga.
- The characters of Hange, Sasha and Jean are very close to the originals; Eren is apparently even more suicidal; and Mikasa and Armin are unfortunately reduced as simply tertiary characters, with Mikasa suffering the worst…
Grisha Yeager is Alive
With the release of Shingeki no Kyojin Chapter 71 "Bystander", I believe that Hajime Isayama has started hinting to fans that Grisha Yeager is not as dead as he has led us all to believe.
- First, I would like to point to an inconsistency between Chapter 71 and previous chapters: When Keith Shadis finds Eren Yeager after Eren become a Titan for the first time, he finds only Eren, with no sign of Grisha, whereas in previous depictions of Eren's first Titan transformation, he eats only the upper half of Grisha's body, leaving Grisha's lower body (and right hand) untouched, in plain view for all to see. Now, admittedly, comic books, manga and the like are notorious for minor errors such as these, but I belive it was a deliberate choice on Isayama…
Anime: season 2 footage at the end of Shingeki no Kyojin part II: Wings of Freedom
According to various websites it has been confirmed that season 2 footage will tie in at the end of wings of freedom, although some sources say that there is supposedly season 2 footage in the recent trailer that was posted.
I can't seem to see any trace of season 2 footage, but certainly new footage is in there that ties into the events of season 1.
It is likely that the movie will end the same way that chapter ended, with the twist of "WALL ROSE HAS BEEN BREACHED" instead of the way season 1 left off with the "WALL TITAN" twist... Or maybe it may end the same way with a post credits teaser trailer for the upcoming season (release window please, it's unlikely but atleast give me a quarter release at that). Possible Beast Titan Identity?
The features of the Beast Titan look, to me, like they resemble Erwin's father. His intensions are completely understandable, considering he knew so much about the titans' history, and was a target for the military police, being killed by them (apparently).
Being on the other side of the wall he seems likely to not have the assets to shave his aged hair and beard. I am quite confident about this theory and I'm sure I'm not the only one who believes this.
There have been suggestions contradicting the appearance and comparison between the two.

The Possible Fate of Dot Pixis
I have recently begun to suspect that Dot Pixis is might be in Isayama's sights for a gruesome death at some point in the series' future.
When he was first encountered by Eren and company, Pixis (in what was dismissed as at the time as him just being eccentric) commented that he would not mind dying at the hands of a "pretty female Titan". And, not soon after, the first Female Titan ever encountered appeared, trying to abduct Eren. After being revealed to be the Female Titan, Annie Leonhart was forced to encase herself in a crystal tomb to avoid questioning.
Now, jump forward to the present (or to an unspecified point in the series' future), Pixis (for whatever reason Isayama comes up with) comes to visit the imprisoned Annie. At some point …
The Walls being comparable to Avatar's Ba Sing Se?
It's only occurred to me by a random thought, but there are three Walls, just like how there are two walls and three rings that make up Ba Sing Se, and the kingdom of the respective locales reside in the innermost Wall and ring.
Walls Maria and Rose would be comparable to the Ba Sing Se's Outer Wall while Wall Sina would be comparable to the Inner Wall.
Wall Maria can be like the Lower Ring, Wall Rose the Middle Ring, and Wall Sina the Upper Ring.
And just like AoT's Walls, the Ba Sing Se walls insure protection against outsiders and installing order for the people inside.

New Attack on Titan Fan Game
Recently I have discovered that two different indie videogame developers are creating actually TWO games based on Attack on Titan. We all know and we all have played the fantastic Attack on Titan: The Game from Feng, but these two new games (especially one) look like they are aiming to higher grounds.
One of these two developers are Gear Gadget Studios. They have a trailer on Youtube. It is the only information that we have from their proyect, aside from the typical web pages that gives almost zero information.

Happily enough, this is one of those “It’s about time” chapters. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one that was waiting to see what happened to Hange, actually for a while I thought they had lost a limb. First Erwin, then Hange, then Levi? Thankfully not. Speaking of Erwin it’s about time we saw him again, and it’s about time that we see the newest titan in the series. Historia’s strategy skills really impressed me as well. She picked up on possible cons to Eren’s plan before even Levi did! That’s an achievement. Shingeki no Kyojin Chapter 66 Review: Wish
Hands down the best chapter of the entire arc. 10/10, possibly a contender for best chapter of the entire series, but that's a debate for some other time. Many Historia feels involving Ymir, Frieda and of course, Eren. I was afraid he was going to die, either him or Historia, but again Isayama proves differently. So much character development and personal admiration for all of the characters in this chapter - apart from Rod, of course. The approach to that in this chapter settles it all, and Historia's true feelings are now revealed and pure awesome.
