But why did they have Ymir's flashback all the way in Season 2? That kind of spoiled it for the anime watchers. And I didn't like that they had Nile's conversation about Erwin's humanity-beyond-the-walls-survived theory mentioned right before Grisha narrating the photo with "humanity has not perished..."
But overall, it was a great episode. It was beautifully animated, the music was on point, and I loved how they portrayed young Grisha and Faye.
Also back in season 2 Reiner & Bertolt me tioned their "homeland" so that kinda revealed things.
When the Uprising arc came out people said "Oh, the series went downhill after that" and then other people said "Return to Shiganshina is my favorite arc!" Both statements can't be true. What they are, are true for different people.
I thought the basement reveal was fantastic when I first read it, because I figured that humanity outside the Walls was living in remote villages and towns where the Titans couldn't get to them. I was picturing fragments of a civilization, not a thriving one. SPOILER: And I am completely fine with the genre changes. I liked Uprising for the political arc, and I like the Marley arc for showing us the other side of the war. Those two are my favorites.
Obviously we disagree on what we find enjoyable, but you post as though your POV is the only sensible conclusion and seems to ignore that there are a lot of people who love the upcoming content. Should the series continue into Season 4 within a year or two, I think the viewership drop off from S3 to S4 will actually be less than from S1 to S2 (which had to deal with a four year gap).
Thank you! At the end of the day it's all subjective & well understandable. Also I don't there will be season 4 given WIT Studio just given up on it. I think it's just ends there.
For Mikasa, it is said in the sixth episode of the first season that she's from a region named "Asia", so there is no spoiler here, it's something revealed a long time ago. At the time, from the viewers point of view, it just meant that some Asian managed to escape Titans and lived inside the walls with the remaining survivors of humanity.
- The life within the walls is a result of WWII? No
- Or it has anything to do with the Nazis? No. No nazi in SnK.
Basically, in the next episode, you'll have the explanations for your questions, most of them at least. You'll understand in the great lines the "truth about this world" (the details will be developped in season 4).
SPOILER: Had King Fritz allowed his people on Paradis to simply live separately from the world and Marley without being prisoners, none of the current Paradisans would be facing such tragedies. The fact that the First King allowed the continued treatment/imprisonment of his own people shows he is no better than a Marleyan. So no, I don't see why it's 'oppressor becoming oppressed', because the SC and current Walldians never did anything. Marley is the enemy. Period. We need another 'Liberio' massacre real soon, hopefully to the point where they cannot recover and their regime crumbles.

Honestly that's okay with me. SPOILER: I already know I'm not going to enjoy watching Marley arc be animated. MAYBE the last arc, but only certain parts of it, so IF there is any more anime after this season I'll probably skip the Marley episodes and pick out some from the current arc that I actually do enjoy. Or at least don't have overwhelming complaints about.

SPOILER: well that much is clear. Although possibly, they could change some stuff for season 4 to make it much different & a little better
And honestly sorry if I came out like a asshat to you, you have A right to your opinion. I am not changing your mind of what you like or don't like, but I was trying convince you to look at it from a rather objective lens, if that make sense? I may disagree with you but I am not trying to hold a grudge against or anything.

SPOILER: And? They're not nazis. Of course, parallels can be made, I never said the contrary. He asked: "Are there nazis in SnK?" No. Marleyans are not nazis and prior to them, Eldians weren't nazis either. They're different groups, sometimes with similar methodes. I wanted to answer to him "No nazis, but there are similarities with them", but as he asked for a "Yes or No" answer, I just answered with a "Yes or No". If someone beheads someone else because of a different opinion, does that make him an ISIS fighter? No, but there are similar methods and we can do parallels. Same here. Of course, Marley imprisons Eldians and considers them as inferior people, they're far from being defensible for their actions. However, do they destroy the Jews? No, no jews in this world. Do they promote some "Aryan race"? No, there is no "Aryan race", and Marley doesn't even promote a "race".

True, but I always figured that their homeland was some tribe of titans that lived in the wilderness. Considering they referred to themselves as "warriors" I thought maybe it was some primitive warrior culture.
How do you do spoiler tags by the way?

Well, at the time, I think there was a theory naming their "homeland" "The Village", which would be a village/town/city, maybe with a better technology that the one we found within the walls.
For the spoilers tag, it's shown on the first message of this topic:
Edit: On my first try, when posted the message, well, the "spoiler" stuff worked... Even if I tried to make it in order so it doesn't appear... So please reffer to the first message of this topic x), because no matter what I try, my explication will be "destroyed" by the fact that it works...

SPOILER: I've already tried looking through the 'objective lens' in the past, but the "other side" is of no interest to me. So the way I see it, Paradis and Eldians, good. Marleyans and Warriors, evil incarnate. Hence, why I want the Rumbling to happen. I just REALLY hate when people pretend the Warriors are innocent/brainwashed/did nothing wrong when they're just as monstrous and irredeemable as their oppressors.
This was by far the worst episode of the entire show.
Literally NOTHING interesting happened until the final 5 minutes.
The episode felt shorter than usual…
And the animation.. Oh god... The entire studio took some time off and let a couple of interns do it? Cuz it was laughable… Terrible animation and art... Damn…
Hope alot of questions will be answered by the end of the season like alot of the l33t manga readers claim...
