SO glad the Warriors families are apparently killed by Eren already. People straight up trying to feel sorry for Annie as if she wasn't a complete sadist who killed Squad Levi and helped Reiner and Bert kill hundreds of thousands of Eldians. They never deserved a happy ending, and I'm glad their families are (apparently) dead.
The young cousin looks innocent but I agree that adults are monstrous. Especially Reiner's mother who seems to be the head of the family who is a horrible manipulator who sees only family honor. I admire Reiner for crying that she dies, it's the same for Annie with her awful father. They don't deserve their loves.

I don't know if you're right about Annie's dad; after the guy got crippled, he started feeling remorse about abusing Annie (and might even believe he deserved to be crippled), so maybe you should at least keep an open mind about his possibility for redemption?
Yeah. I'd love that.
What also gives me hope for Zeke being Eren's dark foil and rival is what we saw with Shikishima in the live action. He was stronger, smarter, tougher, and darker than Eren. There's also that last cutscene in Season 2 of the anime with Eren looking off with a pretty intense look in the distance where Zeke was. Finally, there's the opening cutscene of the Attack On Titan 2 Final Battle video game which shows Eren and Zeke in their titan forms about to duke it out with each other.
I'm sure Eren would need help vs Zeke, and perhaps Historia could help a lot with that after she helps vs Eren who she herself would probably need help against.
Moreover, I still have hope that either Eren's intentions are better than we currently see, or he's brainwashed and in for a change of heart, or some combination of both.
But I'm not satisfied with Zeke being the final villain either, since I'm convinced Tom Xaver brainwashed him, but instead want him to get his final change of heart that sees him become more like a hero for the true final battle, just like Shikishima in the live action again. I want him to become Eren's single biggest help in the real final battle, and the one Eren gets very close to before the end of the story (the one Eren can't sacrifice, but has to anyways).
Pretty much everything I'm thinking too, and I've seen many others think it as well. Another thing to add about the games: remember in the 1st one, Eren had a slaughter move against Zeke? Considering the other 2 slaughter moves were straight from the series, even the one against Reiner which at the time wasn't in anime form yet, Isayama clearly gave that detail away along with permission to let that game dive into season 2 territory loosely.
But I think Zeke may be the final villain, even with his tragic backstory. He and Eren may still have a moment like you said, but he was never that brainwashed like the other warriors, as he's been on both sides of the conflict, and even came up with a plan that threatens both sides. Who do you think would be the villain in that true final battle you imagined? Just asking lol
Eren didn't commit genocide yet, and so far, whatever "evidence" pointed to it had cracks in it. Isayama is clearly trying to set up a big twist down the line, and he will fool everyone unless they paid attention. He already did this with Zeke's plan, as some thought Eren actually agreed with it. I don't think I need to explain why it was clear he didn't agree with that, but its also easy to see he may have another plan in mind currently. He knows the world is full of people like him, and he knows about that even more after living in Marley. Remember, all those flashbacks took place between the end of season 3 and the conversation Eren had with Reiner, a conversation that shows Eren without a genocidal mindset. I don't think he is as ready as you think, and that there is more to his desire for freedom than it seems, which rage and revenge have nothing to do with anymore.

I agreed with you there about Eren Yeagers secret plan. I knew that ever since we learned about Zeke Yeagers true plan, Eren would be against it. And again, I do believe that Eren Yeager was focusing on freeing the entire Eldian race from Humanity control as well.
From the beginning, Eren Yeager has always believed that everyone is born free. Eren Yeager fought for it and went against anyone, even his own friends whenever that belief is threatened. He is basically a 'freedom fighter', someone who fights for everyone and themselves to be free.
Towards him, Eren Yeager does not really care about the history of Eldians doing cruel things towards humanity. He probably believes that it should be left in the past like everybody else. But he does believe on what is happening in current events. Events that involves in humanity's hatred towards Eldians is threatening his home, friends and family. That one is true, as we all now know.

Yeah. I do remember that. And I won't be surprised if Eren has a similar attack against Zeke in the canon anime and manga later on. They still need to fight each other yet, as Isayama insinuated.
As for who I see being the villain of the final battle, that's a tricky one that I honestly haven't thought as deeply about. It may be the world's armies with aircraft and bombs. It may even be the 1st Fritz King of ~2000 years ago in some way. I don't really know. But I definitely see Zeke being the penultimate villain, and the last one getting redeemed and convinced over to the survey corps' side.
I don't think Attack on Titan will end this year, there just seems to be too much to be done before the series ends. If Isayama wanted to he could keep this going well beyond chapter 138. As for the anime I'm hoping this Final Season ends up being at least 34 Episodes in length with at least 11 of them covering the events of Volumes 23-26 under the assumption 138 is the final chapter. Of course at this point there's no telling when the series will end.
At this point I can tell you we can expect Chapter 134 to arrive in November, & at that time we'll probably still be questioning if the series will end in only 4 chapters. There will be questions of Volumes 33 & 34 having 5 chapters each or the possibility of Volume 35 about 3 months from now. It's possible that 1 year from now we could get Chapter 142 & it still wouldn't be the final chapter of Attack on Titan. We just don't know how much more Isayama will give us of this incredible series & I'm ok with that. I just hope the anime adaptation doesn't rush through the manga content again like happened in Season 3.
There isn't any news yet on when Season 4 will start, although it needs to be split into 3 parts if it intends to keep the Final Season branding. Normally each Season Part covers 4 Volumes of content & 1 of the manga's main arcs with Season 3 being the exception, & Season 4 already is at least 11 Volumes. I don't think we'll get Season 4 Part 3 until 2022 even if the manga finishes in 2021, because of Covid delaying things.

If I'm being honest, I think there could very well be enough left to happen that the manga goes all the way into 2023, maybe ending anywhere between around chapter 162 and 166. Maybe this is even just wishful thinking on my part due to not wanting the rest of the series to be rushed or janky.
Then the anime could need until some time in late 2023 or early to mid 2024 to finish in english dub. That would also mean either season 4 can't be the final season, or it has to be split in 2 bigger sections like Sword Art Online with its whole Alicization arc. This could result in anywhere between around 48 and 52 episodes left for the anime. And we may even still get some OVAs before, between, or after that.
Chapter 162 would end the series with 40 Volumes, I don't think it will last that long although it would be awesome if it did. I thought SAO Alicization was 2 Seasons & I feel the exact same way as you about Attack on Titan. I don't want the Marley Arc feeling rushed or janky by any means & my opinion is the same for the rest of the manga that comes after it when the anime arrives. I want the manga to end well without feeling rushed to a conclusion.
Still all this being told that the manga will end soon makes me doubt if the manga could possibly stretch further than into 2022. Isayama had said he wanted to finish the series this year, which is why I think we are within the last 20 chapters of the series now. Attack On Titan still has plenty of stuff going for it the next few years besides the manga at least. There's supposed to be a movie in the works & we can probably expect more spinoffs to happen.
I get what you mean. In that case, let's just hope it goes out with a bang. At the same time, though, I do know Isayama has guessed how long his manga would continue in the past, and he turned out to be wrong. sometimes, what he thinks will take 1 chapter to convey ends up taking 2 chapters to convey.
