I do admit that the plot armour is ridiculous to some degrees but there are I think I can explain the Zeke part (or some attempt to), at the moment Zeke lost consciousness, he was looking at a flower then that flower turn to a titan. I have a feel like there is a flower plant connection to Ymir Fritz and the Titan powers that be, it has been hinted I don't know which manga chapter honestly but I know from the anime in season 1 in episode 7 or 8, that after Eren transformed partially a Titan to protect Mikasa and Armin from cannon fire, Armin noticed there was a flower in the ground, he commented that it wasn't there before. For Levi I don't think he will come out a okay as he did lose a hand and might have lost a lot of blood, at worst he will die, or at best he will be comatose or alive but crippled for life & unable to fight.
For Floch, I admit he is acting a bit too stereotypical villain but I still kinda like him because of his personality and how much he is a serious threat. However I think of Floch as a mirror or Yeagerist counterpart to Yelena, in fact they are both very similar as they are both leading a group of rag-tag of people for a cause (albeit differently) and both of them are devout followers of the Yeager brothers who believe they are godly. Floch is pretty much Eren's Yelena to her Zeke.
I'm sure the Zeke actually bonding with Eren makes sense, but I don't feel Isayama presented it successfully.
There's just one scene where Zeke's like, "I have a brother," then another where he's like, "So, whaddaya think of killing of the Edlians?"
I think if Isayama would have utilized better flashbacks, and had Eren come across as more believable...maybe him saying that he's tied of this war, it's never ending...and that maybe the Eldian people dying a slow, painless death is better than breeding people for livestock, like Eldia had for Historia.
If Levi is unable to fight...I would give Isayama a lot of credit. But he's probably going to become the badass, one-armed swordsman. :( Levi depressed and angry, feelig that he's useless as his life in the scouts seemed to be the only thing he had going for him...that would be very iteresting.
Floch's hairstyle really bothers me.

Well I totally understand being tired of never ending war. It seems like Isayama is somewhat rushing these flashbacks if that's what you are saying?
Badass one armed swordsman ? If it worked for Erwin then might work for Levi. It would be cool to see Levi despite so stone-faced and cool headed, he will break breakdown because all he does is trying to lead and protect what's closest to him but it all ends in vain, and he just struggles for nothing. Seeing that his spirit broken, he doesn't have any fight in him, and he is now "I'm done. I am done fighting" kinda what happened to Keith Shadis. Seeing his state of mind would be cool development and gives him a extra layer of dimension instead of just being a stone cold soldier, that I would like to see.
Well we can't choose hairstyles, so...although I did like Floch's other hair style before the timeskip.
Lastly, Historia is technically a Reiss.

They are 'descendants' from Karl Fritz and the Fritz Royal Family but they branched off from the Fritz Family after the Great Titan War and became the Reiss Family in the Walls of Paradis.

The Reiss family IS the Fritz family. No branching off involved. Just a name change for security reasons.
After moving into the walls, at some point, the royal family decided to go incognito in order to protect themselves and installed a puppet king that would bear their name. So they changed their name from Frtiz to Reiss.
King Fritz (the king before the Uprising Arc) is not a Fritz, he's just acting as the Fritz. The Reiss family are the real Fritz family.

Well in the wiki page of the Reiss family states they branched off during or after the Great Titan War. The Fritz or Ymir in particular are nonetheless the direct ancestors to Historia.
They did branch off, but that isn't what changed their family name. After the Great Titan War, Karl Fritz being the head of the household decided to move his people to Paradis. There were some Eldians and some of the royal family who disagreed to this and decided to stay on the mainland. That's where they "branched off". But both those of the royal family who stayed and those who went to the island are both still part of the same Fritz family, they just effectively split into two factions. Then later the Fritz family on the island decided to go incognito and adopted the name Reiss, giving the name Fritz to their proxy king.

Okay. I concede.
that makes so much sense if we consider the case of Dinah Fritz

So I guess I didn't make it clear the first time?
