|Damn it! Damn it! I'm stuck doing this for the rest of my life?!|
|— Eren cultivates a field|
Eren struggles during omni-directional mobility training.
In class, the commandant announces the conducting of basic omni-directional mobility training. Eren remarks the strangeness of doing the same drill again, with Armin remembering that Eren was bad at it, but Eren replies that he only had a broken clasp. At the training grounds, Eren fails to balance himself and the commandant chastises him.
Eren assumes it is due to a broken clasp again and informs the commandant, prompting him to order Cadet Wagner to switch belts with Eren, but he again fails at balancing himself. Upset, Eren tries asking for tips from his fellow cadets, but is only ridiculed by them. Eren attempts to balance himself a third time, but still fails. He is sent off to the fields, with Mikasa and Armin following him.
Eren laments being stuck cultivating fields for the rest of his life. Mikasa states that she does not mind the lifestyle, with Armin saying that if they were soldiers, they would not know when they might die. As Eren argues of that being the case everywhere, a Titan suddenly appears in the distance with two others appearing behind the group, surrounding them. One of them stomps on Mikasa and Armin, to Eren's horror, who curses the Titans and frantically starts attacking with his pitchfork while rolling in his bed.
Armin wakes Eren up, to the latter's relief that it was only a dream. Armin tells him that a Titan is attacking, but Eren assures Armin that it was just a dream. The Titan opens the roof and eats them both. Inside its stomach, Eren believes that he is still dreaming.
