|The students will follow the rules, without complaining at all! Then, they'll figure out the punishment's not working!|
|— Hanne's plan to revert the school rules|
Far Out, Mr. Hannes (すごいよハンネスさん Sugoi yo Hannesu-san?) is the 3rd chapter of the 4th volume and the 26th chapter overall of the Attack on Titan: Junior High manga, written and illustrated by Saki Nakagawa.
Hannes, upset that the Wall Beautification Club has been suspended, comes up with a way for the students to fight back against the new rules given down by the faculty. While many students and faculty continue to face persecution under the rules that favor Titan students, suspicion on who attacked the Titan students falls upon Eren after an outburst proclaiming he will never bow down to the Titans.
Hannes is surprised to hear that the Wall Beautification Club has been temporarily suspended; he then angrily questions who could be the ones responsible for going after the Titans. Eren promises they will not let the Titan students push them around. Hannes decides to take action and rallies the students to begin protesting by acting and behaving like model students; he argues that when the faculty in support of the rules see the students not complaining, they will have no choice but to go back to the old set of rules.
As many of the other Survey Club members get harassed by faculty, they begin to wonder what the school is trying to prove by enacting all these new rules. They notice Eren, Mikasa and Armin get inspected by Nile and pass. Many of the other students who are part of the Wall Beautification Club seem to be acting different and energizing the other human students: as Hannes walks by the gym, he smiles when he sees his plan working.
Later in the day, the Class 4 teacher is walking with Mr. Smith and notes with some surprise how well the students seem to be responding to the new set of rules. Mr. Smith does not react but stops when the teacher mentions how it would simplify things if the persons who injured the Titan students would come forward and apologize; after a tense moment, Mr. Smith agrees that it would be the best course of action. As two students start to complain when some Titan students begin harassing them, Eren reminds them if they argue, they will be targeted by the faculty. Connie, Sasha and Jean lament that despite them following the rules, they will still be looked down upon and agree that whoever hurt the Titan students must come out and apologize. Eren harshly disagrees, refusing to ever bow down to the Titans. Suddenly Hannes interrupts their conversation and reveals that while hiding in the closet in the faculty lounge, among other teachers, he overheard Mr. Smith admit to hurting the Titans.
