The Colossal Titan (超大型巨人 Chō ōgata Kyojin?) is the Titan form of Military Police Regiment director Kubal.

Abilities

Size

The Colossal Titan is far larger than any other Titan seen before by humans. It is stated to be roughly 120 meters tall, easily being able to peer over the top of the Walls.[1]

The Colossal Titan emits levels of heat much higher than normal Titans; the temperatures are so intense that its skin and muscles bubble with the heat, comparable to that of magma and molten earth.[2]

The Colossal Titan appears at the Wall near Monzen

In the year 858, roughly 100 years after the creation of the Walls, the Colossal Titan appears at the Wall near Monzen. Letting out a roar, it peers over the Wall and glares at the humans staring up at it in shock and horror before it begins to kick the Wall; it eventually breaks through, creating a hole that allows smaller Titans to enter through the breach and devour the humans living there. Before the military can properly react, the Titan releases a massive burst of steam and quickly disappears.

The Colossal Titan is not seen again until approximately two years later. Shortly after Eren and Shikishima fight each other (as the Mysterious Titan and White Titan, respectively), the head of the Military Police Regiment Kubal arrives and demands that Eren be handed over to him. After getting shot several times and falling off the top of the Wall, Kubal explosively transforms and reveals himself to be the Colossal Titan. As the Scout Regiment turn their attention towards it, the Colossal Titan is struck in the head with one of the bombs brought by them to destroy the White Titan; this only briefly stuns the Colossal Titan and it quickly recovers.

It then kills several soldiers, including Jean with hardly any effort and destroys many of the encampments atop the Wall. While this is going on, Eren is able to scale the back of the Colossal Titan and reach its nape; however, the Colossal Titan catches him before he can slice out Kubal. The Colossal Titan stares at Eren struggling to escape its grasp and lets out an evil laugh.

As it prepares to crush Eren, however, the White Titan climbs up the side of the Wall carrying the last remaining bomb. It jumps at the Colossal Titan and jams the bomb into its mouth; the bomb is triggered and detonates, either due to the timer counting down or from the sheer heat emanating from the Colossal Titan. The Colossal Titan is destroyed in the resulting explosion, killing Kubal as well.
