— Grisha's mother adverts her son[1]

Grisha's mother (グリシャの母 Gurisha no haha?) is the mother of Fay and Grisha Jaeger, the wife of Mr. Jaeger, and the grandmother of Zeke Jaeger and Eren Jaeger. She is also the guardian of Zeke after her son was arrested by the authorities.[2]

Appearance

Grisha's mother wears a tired expression on her face with light wrinkles under her eyes and around her mouth. She has unkempt, black hair and dark-colored eyes. She wears a light button-up and wears an apron around her waist when around the house.

Personality

She is a serious woman who appears to be very worried for her children, and fearful of the consequences of their misbehavior. Upon hearing about Fay's death, she is said to be in a traumatized state - she is overwhelmed by sorrow to the point where she cries profusely and cannot speak a word.

History

Grisha's mother was seen warning her children to be careful and reminding them to wear their armbands as they leave their house.[1] Along with her husband, she was confronted by an officer who explained Fay's death to them. Grisha's mother was said to be lost in her own grief after her daughter died.

Tragedy struck again in the year 832 when Grisha was arrested by the Marley Public Security. During the arrest, she is seen crying by her husband's side.[2] After her son was arrested, Grisha's mother and her husband raised their young grandson Zeke who went on to become a high ranking soldier and Warrior.

Story

Marley arc

In the year 854, over two decades after the arrest of their son, Grisha's now elderly parents lovingly welcome home Zeke, who returns to Liberio after the conclusion of the Marley Mid-East War.[3]
