Hange's Prison (ハンジの牢獄 Hanji no Rōgoku?) is the 6th chapter of the 2nd volume and the 33rd chapter overall of the Spoof on Titan manga, written and illustrated by hounori.

Overview

Hange wastes Armin's time discussing Titans.

Summary

Hange is sitting behind a table, as Moblit escorts Armin into the room. Armin states that he is reporting for duty. Hange invites Armin to take a seat, regretting that Armin was given short notice. Hange wants to discuss Titans with Armin due to his observational skills and insight. Delighted, Armin says it would be an honor. Hange shows Armin two sketches of Titans. Armin studies the sketches, noticing that they are research reports on the two captured Titans. Armin doesn't notice any new information. Before he can finish speaking, Hange interrupts him by asking him which Titan is his type. Armin is startled and asks Hange to clarify. Hange clarifies by saying to choose whichever one Armin likes best. Armin is still skeptical, but chooses one anyway. Hange grabs Armin by the collar and frantically says that they both chose the same Titan, so it is obvious that they will get along. Unnerved, Armin asks what kind of test that was. Hange replies that the goal was to judge whether or not they shared the same preferences.

Hange and Armin discuss Armin's report about when Armin and Jean observed the tree-climbing Titan and how its example demonstrates that Titans have the ability to learn. Hange then discusses a hypothetical training scenario where a Titan named Bob is given commands, similar to a dog. The theoretical situation ends with Hange losing a head. Armin is tired, wishing that he could go home. Moblit interrupts Hange's discussions to announce that it is past noon. Hange is upset that the time passed by so quickly. Armin observes that this is his chance to leave. Moblit then reveals that he brought them lunch, and that rescheduled Hange's afternoon appointments. Hange thanks an indifferent Moblit as Armin silently disagrees with Moblit's actions.

Hange begins discussing the characteristics of the digestive systems of Titans. Hange then hands Armin an idol magazine. Reading the magazine, they come across descriptions of eating disorders. Hange declares that this is a correlation with Titan biology, but Armin disagrees. Armin then shouts out that he doesn't like Titans. Hange appears shocked and begins to apologize. Hange mentions that Armin's feelings were somewhat apparent when he viewed the sketches, and Armin is quick to point out that was at the very beginning. Hange laments the mistake and suggests that they discuss the Titan novel next. Armin is dumbfounded over Hange's ignorance of his feelings.

Moblit enters the room again as Armin notices that the sky has darkened with nightfall. Moblit tells Hange that Eren has arrived to take Armin, as the two had made prior arrangements together. Hange appears to be concerned over how much time was wasted. Armin is happy to finally be free of Hange. As Eren appears, Hange immediately accosts him. Lying, Hange claims that the recent discussion was on methods of killing Titans. Eren is intrigued, so Hange spins him around to face Armin. Hange exclaims that Eren has agreed to join their discussion.
