Hans Luhmann (ハンス・ルーマン Hansu Rūman?) is a member of the Military Police Brigade located within Wall Sheena. He was the previous owner of an iron bamboo dagger crafted by famed blacksmith Angel Aaltonen.
Appearance
Hans is a bald man with prominent eyebrows and piercing eyes. He wore the standard uniform of the Military Police, with a collared white shirt under his jacket.
Personality
As a self-proclaimed "man who enjoys his nightlife," Hans was a frequent visitor to the Underground City located within Stohess District and was not afraid to openly admit it. He is also good at spotting the true character and intent of people who speak with him.
History
At some point fifteen years ago, Hans was looking for a full sized sword more impressive than the standard ones issued by the Military Police. During one of his frequent trips to the Underground City, Hans was told that a famed blacksmith named Angel was residing within the city and capable of crafting such a weapon; intrigued, Hans decided to see for himself and paid the blacksmith a visit. Hans was disappointed to see he did not have enough money for a full sized sword; however, he commissioned Angel to craft a dagger for him instead.[1] Impressed with the quality of the dagger, Hans held it (and Angel's abilities) in high regard and made him the envy of his fellow soldiers. However, Hans would eventually lose ownership of the dagger and it would wind up within the Industrial City.
Story
Underground City arc
Fifteen years later, during one of his stays within Wall Sheena, a young woman came by and asked Hans about it. Surprised that a girl would be interested in a dagger like that, Hans informed her that he had it crafted by a blacksmith in the Underground City. He informs Sharle that where it was made is not a place many people go to and advises against her going there alone.[2] As Sharle thanks him and leaves, Hans tells her that despite his warnings, she has the look of someone who is not easily deterred. Hans then gives her some advice on how to travel safely within the streets of the Underground City.[3]
