The Industrial city (工業場市 Kōjō Toshi?, also spelled as factory city in the Vertical translation of the novel series) is a major hub of military production located within Wall Rose. The city notably has very high security and its location remains a secret due to its importance in the production of all weaponry and equipment.
Story
Visit to the Industrial City arc
Kuklo is introduced to the Industrial City after being rescued by Jorge Pikale. Sharle spots them and offers them shelter at a workshop, where they meet Xenophon Harkimo and learn about the device.[1] The following day, Jorge announces that he would like to show Kuklo and Cardina iron bamboo.[2] Jorge tells a story about the Survey Corps' first capture of a Titan fifteen years ago, and the sacrifices made.[3][4] Jorge concludes his story. Kuklo and Cardina stay in the Industrial City following Jorge's departure.[5]
Dissidence Movement arc
The Industrial City is under attack by the Dissidence Movement as a way to attack the government due to the importance of the city, hoping to bring the government to negotiate. Gloria Bernhart, who knew the dissidence plot, gather 80% of the entire Military Police Brigade to suppress and destroy the dissidence movement. After killing nearly all the dissidence and capturing the ringleader, Captain Dafner is ousted from his position and replaced by Bernhart as acting captain of the Industrial City.
