It's Only Puberty (思春期ってヤツだ Shishunkitte yatsu da^?) is the 1st side story of the 9th volume of the Attack on Titan: Junior High manga, written and illustrated by Saki Nakagawa.

Overview

Sasha notices that Eren's lunch is different than usual. When Eren reveals the reason behind this change, things do not go as expected.

Summary

Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Sasha, Jean, and Connie eat lunch in the classroom. When Eren takes out his lunch, Sasha points out that his lunchbox contains mackerel cooked in miso. She is shocked that it is different from his usual cheese meatloaf meal. Eren tells her that he decided to moderate his meatloaf consumption, which Sasha is appalled by, knowing that Eren always eats cheese meatloaf three times a day.

Eren promises to eat less cheese meatloaf a day

Mikasa shares that Eren has been acting strange for some time and, at one point, cried to her about his lunch being stolen in the past. Breaking the fourth wall, Eren suddenly complains that he is tired of having no development in the series beyond being known as a cheese meatloaf lover and his hatred for Titans. For this reason, he decided to cut down on his meatloaf consumption to once a day.

The following day, Eren falls ill despite being healthy the day before. Grisha diagnoses him with "cheeseloaf fever" as a result of becoming highly dependent on cheese meatloaf to function. To remedy his fever, Eren must go back to eating meatloaf three times a day.
