Junichi (純一 Junichi?)[2] was a Titan and the soulmate of Hange Zoë appearing in the gag preview of Volume 6 in Volume 5 of the Attack on Titan manga.
Appearance
Junichi stood at around twice the average human height with short hair and a small goatee. Its eyes were always shut, and its mouth was fixed in a permanent loving smile.
Personality
Junichi was a Titan of notable intelligence and a heart of gold, willing to risk its own life to defend Hange in times of hardship.
Story
Like many Titans, Junichi was once a captured test subject of Hange Zoë. But despite taboo, their love for each other overcomes the differences of their species. When Hange is nearly run over by an oncoming car, Junichi amazingly stands in front of the approaching vehicle to defend the soldier it loves.[1] After its death, Hange posthumously gives him the name "Junichi".[2]
