Klarissa (クラリッサ Kurarissa^?) is a prostitute in the Underground city.

Appearance

Klarissa has light-colored eyes and wavy hair reaching down past her shoulders. She wears revealing clothes to match her profession as a prostitute.

Personality

Despite being a prostitute, Klarissa has a soft spot for those who are less fortunate living in the Underground City. She also has a keenly trained eye, being able to quickly spot that Sharle was disguising herself to blend in with the other citizens.

Story

Underground City arc

At an unspecified point, Klarissa becomes acquainted with famed craftsman Angel Aaltonen, unaware of his family name and merely thinking he is an average blacksmith.

One day, a young woman named Sharle arrives at the same brothel with a note from one of Klarissa's regular customers Hans Luhmann. After sizing her up, Klarissa brings Sharle inside a back room, away from prying eyes and ears. She criticizes Hans for sending Sharle down by herself, but Sharle insists that she did so of her own volition. Over some tea, Sharle asks Klarissa if she knows where Angel is living within the City; Klarissa expresses some surprise at hearing Angel was a master craftsman. She leads Sharle to Angel, who is out in a back alley drinking.

After Sharle is harassed by a few thugs, Klarissa arrives and claims that Sharle is her client. Back at the brothel, one of the thugs named Leo insists that he is trying to keep them in line, something Klarissa scoffs at. Both Klarissa and Leo express confusion at hearing Angel was the first person to defeat a Titan. After Sharle and Leo return from visiting Angel, Klarissa compliments how Sharle was able to reach through to Angel and invites her to stay the night. The next morning, Klarissa is pleasantly surprised to see Angel shaved and cleaned himself up, requesting to see Sharle. As the two make preparations to leave, Klarissa tells Sharle to take care of herself, but orders her not to return to the Underground City ever again.

Relationships

• Angel Aaltonen - Klarissa admired the skill of the once famed craftsman, merely thinking Angel was a simple blacksmith. The two would establish a trade system and maintain a cordial business relationship for the next fifteen years.
• Sharle Inocencio - When meeting Sharle for the first time, Klarissa would express amazement that a young girl would have business within the Underground City. Although only knowing each other for the span of one day, Klarissa would bond with Sharle and see her as a little sister. Despite enjoying Sharle's company, Klarissa knows that Sharle does not belong in the same world as her and forbids her from ever returning.

Trivia

• Due to Klarissa mentioning that she has serviced both men and women, she is one of the few LGBT characters within the Before the Fall (and Attack on Titan) series.
