  • I went to do some edits on the main page for Eren Yeager on 09/09/19 and I noticed that in the source editor, the colored bars representing the files, reference citations and new sections are shifted down one row; I believe it starts in the unnamed arc in the paragraph that has the picture file of Eren generating the spikes to impale Reiner and Galliard; I noticed it was still there when I added in some citations earlier today.

    I don't know if anyone else has noticed or reported this (or if my computer is just acting funny), but I figured I would let you know. It could just be a minor thing, but it is visually throwing me off.

    • Oh, yeah, what a weird bug. @.@

      I believe it's caused because the page is too long and the highlighter has problems processing the amount of information after that point. If instead of editing the whole page you edit only that section, the issue doesn't happen.

  • can i get unbanned from the discord?

      Loading editor
  • With adding a Discord to the Seraph of the End Wiki should the Discord be one large unified one? Since there can be multiple smaller Discords on a series.

    On adding one, may you share how it was done for the Attack on Titan Wiki since the Discord being visible in wiki activity, and in particular having an image just seems nicer.

    • For the homepage you don't need any script, it's just a regular image link. You can accomplish it this way:

      [[File:<Your image.png>|center|link=<Your Discord link>]]

      Just put it inside one of those boxes you use to structure your homepage.

      Sorry for not being able to help you further.

    • Thanks to you both, since there might be space could look into adding it to the wiki activity as well… and hope staff approve the script that I work on, and hope again that they keep it XD

  • Hello, apologizes for bothering. If you don't mind me asking and answering, how were you able to implement an upload notification and have a custom rail bar onto the wiki? I would like to add them to a wiki I manage. I hope you have a nice day/night/afternoon!

      Loading editor
    • Hello,

      The upload notification is pure CSS, you can find it on our MediaWiki:Wikia.css under "Image uploader notice".

      The custom rail is done with JavaScript, this is the relevant script. Be careful with what you add there and put the minimum amount of widgets you require, as Fandom has very strict customization guidelines in that regard.

  • they do not have underground foundations

    i rewatched the entire episode it was supposedly linked to and it is never mentioned

    dont know where your getting this false information from but they never clearly mention there are underground foundations

    possibly it might be in one of the japanese information cards because i dont exactly know japanese but thats the only bit of chance there is to actually to proof of foundations underneath the walls

    • 1. currently publicity availalbe information  could mean anything so no

      2. thats clearly not what im talking about im talking about the actual card list that you showed me

      3. without said card list link people wont know the reference and thus think your making shit up

      you cant just write shit down and say thats how it is you need the card list as actual proof

      if you encounter bigfoot and say you saw him but have 0 evidence then of course no one is going to believe that. same applies here

      so what you wrote there doesnt carry any weight considering anyone could make that up and without the actual card stating the foundations found within the episode then no one is going to believe it

        Loading editor
    • "Currently Publicly Available Information" is the official name of those cards (also translated as "Information Available for Public Disclosure" or "What We Can Share So Far"), look at the title in each of them. If you're watching a pirated version of the episodes then they're probably just Japanese, but official sources like Crunchyroll provide a translation of them.

      The text in the reference says that the information comes specifically from the "Currently Publicly Available Information" of the episode, and it includes a link to the episode page where the card can be seen (translated to English even) under a section called again "Currently Publicly Available Information".

      More clear it can't be, but if you aren't bothering to read the references and follow the links included, then of course you won't know where the information comes from; but that's on you, the point is that the information is correct and the reference is quoting the source precisely. Do not revert it again.

  • Hey, Manuel

    Shouldn't 'Nine Titans' be listed under the 'Universe' tab rather than the 'Characters' tab?  It fits much more in Universe as they aren't characters but important parts of their universe.

    That's all

  • Hi, Im from a new page called Anime-zing, where we are trying to create a new forum and page filled with different types of animes! One of my favourites happen to be AOT and since you were a Admin, I was wondering if you would be willing for us to site you as one of our sources for the articles on AOT? It would be a great help, and if you cannot do that or you don't wish to, please leave a reply... Thanks!

  • Hello. There is a nav box on the wiki that I think has some incorrect info in it, but I don't have permission to edit it. It's about the first individual listed in the Titans nav box. I don't think they belong there.

  • Hi, dividing the character pages into each source material area, such as the pages for Eren in the manga, and anime is an excellent idea. That way if there are any minute differences, or some story sections take place in different time periods in each respective medium, this can be shown. There is also illustrating pages with manga and anime images respectively and references gathered as appropriate.

    In short, and if it is not too much trouble, would you be up for helping with adding the page navigation boxes under the video to a wiki so it too can have a way for readers to navigate between the manga, anime and drama CD versions of events? Hope you can help with this, thanks.

    • Do you mean the media icons (that row of square icons at the top of the page)?

        Loading editor
    • Those are the ones, they would be nice to include if that is okay.

    • This is the template, it isn't very complex so you can simply copy the code and adapt it to your needs. It's basically a matter of replacing images and links.

      As for the CSS, this is what we currently have in our MediaWiki:Wikia.css:

      /*===============*/
      /*  Media icons  */
      /*===============*/

      #media-icons {
          margin-bottom: 1em;
          overflow: hidden;
      }
      #media-icons ul {
          float: right;
          margin: 0;
      }
      #media-icons li {
          float: left;
          line-height: 0;
          list-style-type: none;
          margin: 0 5px 0 0;
      }
      .mi-current a, .mi-other a {
          border: 2px solid darkred;
          border-radius: 0.5em;
          display: inline-block;
          height: 50px;
          opacity: 0.5;
          overflow: hidden;
          position: relative;
          width: 50px;
      }
      .mi-current a, .mi-other a:hover {
          opacity: 1;
      }
      .mi-mobile {
          display: none;
      }

  • Manuel de la Fuente may you unblock this user and allow the continuation of the contribute daily streak? Rather than trying to be on the leaderboard or anything the badges are simply being gained as nice images, and since they are tricky to get hope others can be encouraged to gain them.

    • You're supposed to be my friends so we can tell our other friend that the streak can continue having been unbanned. There are so few people who make the effort to maintain the contribute daily streak, do those badges just languish there with no one getting them forever?

        Loading editor
    • I don't see why is that difficult to understand that the badges are a reward for contributing to the wiki, not an empty thing for you to adorn your user page with while doing nothing. If you don't contribute, you don't get badges; if you cheat, you get blocked, it's that simple.

      Your argument is ridiculous, we aren't allowing someone to cheat like your friend was doing or giving away badges for charity because few people have them. They're supposed to be hard to achieve and make people work for them, that's the whole purpose of their existence.

      And stop trying to make us change our rules to fit your own interests whenever you don't meet the requirements to get something you want. Never-ending insisting with fallacies isn't going to accomplish anything except getting you ignored for annoying.

      This discussion is absurd so I'm closing it now.
