Mike Zacharias (ミケ・ザカリアス Mike Zakariasu?) is a Survey Corps soldier and squad leader.
Appearance
Mike is a well-built man. With bangs in his hair that split in the middle, he also has a dark mustache and beard. Mike is commonly seen wearing a serious or calm expression, but he sometimes smiles at his own jokes. He is typically seen dressed in the standard Survey Corps uniform. Outside of work, he wears civilian clothing.
Personality
Mike is a serious but caring man, he also has a funny side to him, cracking jokes with his squadmates and Fellow Survey corps members, like Hange Zoë. Although he has a habit of scaring off new recruits, due to his habit of smelling people upon greeting them.
Story

Mike firstly appears in Chapter 3, where Hange Zoe asks him if there are any titans around. In turn, he sniffs in the air, then sniffs Hange, and smirks, he is then asked why he did that by Hange.
The Nose Knows!
He is the main protagonist of Chapter 24, where he is seen firstly with Nanaba, complaining about the smell of a beef stew which was burnt far away from their position.
Mike meets up with Hange Zoe, where he tries to help her find some documents she lost. Hange, thinks that his titan smelling abilities cant help him find the papers, in which Mike responds that he can just use his eyes.
After that, Mike is seen with Nanaba again, this time in more casual clothing, outside of a women's bathroom, when 2 women exit the bathroom, they immedietly try and leave the area. Upon seeing this, Mike asks Nanaba why they're avoiding him, she tells him that its because they just got out of the bathroom (probably fearing that his superhuman sense of smell could smell them). Mike then angrily storms off the area with Nanaba in hand.
During training, Connie and Sasha comment on how tall Mike really is, with Connie getting jealous upon seeing that he is the shortest in the group.
During a scouting mission, Oruo asks Mike about his odor, Mike mentions that theres nothing wrong with it, but feels weird afterwards, he is then given a face mask and some ear plugs, confused of their purpose, he puts them on his nose instead of his ears. Later that day, he thanks Nanaba, saying that it was the smell that bothered him.
Mike meets up with Hange Zoe, when she offers him some tea, he comments that it could have more aroma, and then pours the tea himself, saying that he learnt to pour tea at the town "like a pro", after pouring the tea, he passess out and is taken to the doctor by Nanaba and Levi, where the doctor diagnoses him with a sinus infection.

Mike switches places with Levi during a survey corps recruiting campaign, Nanaba commenting how the recruits will feel more comftrable around Mike. She is then proven wrong, when Mina Carolina runs out of the camp, screaming that Mike smelled her.
No Alcohol Until You Turn 20
Mike's Final appearance is in Chapter 15, where he offers to take Gelgar, Nanaba and Lynne to go out for drinks later. Then, Levi tries joining in, but Mike tries to refuse, saying that he only takes out people who earn less than him, Erwin also joins in, saying how he is very excited to be bought drinks, because no one has ever bought him drinks before
Relationships
- Erwin Smith - Mike and Erwin have a very strong mutual trust for each other. Even after all their years together, Mike never truly understood Erwin, but followed his commands loyally, regardless.
- Levi - Mike and Levi were shown to be good friends, always caring for one another. Mike is commonly seen hanging out with Levi.
- Hange Zoë - Mike and Hange were shown to have mutual respect for each other and were typically seen together serving directly under Erwin. Mike also liked to pull pranks on Hange.
- Nanaba - Mike and Nanaba's Camaraderie was very apparent, Mike is always seen with Nanaba, they appear to be very close friends, and both seem to care very deeply for eachother, always ready to lend a hand.
