When the Survey Corps squad returns to the District of Shiganshina, his mother starts asking for him, and the Commander of the Survey Corps, gives her all that remained of him—his right arm. In the manga his name is Brown, although it is changed to Moses in the anime, most likely to avoid confusion with Reiner Braun, since their names are spelled with the same kana in japanese (ブラウン can either be Brown or Braun).
