Rumors: Here Today, Gone Tomorrow (人の噂も七十五日 Hito no Uwasa mo Nana jū Go-nichi?) is the 10th chapter of the 2nd volume and the 37th chapter overall of the Spoof on Titan manga, written and illustrated by hounori.

Overview

The girls discuss the boys discussing the girls.

Summary

The cadet girls are sitting in the cafeteria, sharing a table. Sasha compliments Mikasa's hair, saying how she is envious, prompting Mikasa to say thank you. Mina comments that Mikasa is hiding an incredible body underneath her excess clothing. Sasha, in a hushed voice, tells Mina not to talk that way in public. Mina apologizes, but the damage is done. Thanks to Mina's comment, most of the boys across the room are all focused on listening to the girls' conversation. Every boy except Eren, who is baffled as to why everyone stopped listening to his discussion regarding anti-Titan tactics. Sasha asks Mikasa if she is disappointed that Eren was the only one who missed Mina's comment, but Mikasa sighs and says she is not.

Sasha complains that everyone in the room is discussing female figures. Mina agrees with Sasha, but proposes that Sasha change the room's topic of conversation by farting. Mikasa agrees with Mina, referencing the previous time when Mikasa lied about Sasha to Commandant Shadis. This angers Sasha, who points out that such an event would make everyone even more uncomfortable. Overhearing someone praising her appearance, Sasha declares that it is fine for everyone to discuss others once in a while, displeasing Mina and Mikasa.

Eren speculates as to why everyone is discussing Mikasa. He comes to the conclusion that everyone is envious of her strength. Eren interrupts everyone by loudly proclaiming that he believes Reiner is just as good as Mikasa, provoking Reiner to demand that Eren clarify what he meant. Eren continues by saying that the guys always discuss Reiner, infuriating Reiner. Eren finishes by saying how he is also attracted to Reiner, causing Reiner to assume that Eren has a romantic interest in him. Eren's disclosure gives Reiner a headache, forcing him to leave. Eren acts puzzled, asking everyone to confirm that the topic is muscles.

Connie claims that Mikasa's hair is beautiful, and Marco agrees with him. Then Connie declares that if he grew out his own hair it would surpass Mikasa's. Jean grabs Connie by the shoulders and commands him to show hair prettier than Mikasa's, before violently kneading Connie's scalp. Connie protests, while Marco asks Jean why he is mad. Whispering, Thomas asks Armin which one of the girls he prefers. Armin says he does not have a specific one in mind and asks Thomas the same question. Thomas says he refuses tell Armin unless Armin tells him first. Thomas then tries to convince him, but Franz interrupts the both of them. Franz exclaims that he wants to know both of their preferences as well, and he promises to tell them who he likes. Aware of Franz's obvious relationship with Hannah, Thomas and Armin holler at him to leave.

Petra and Nifa discuss Levi's body

Petra tells Nifa about seeing Levi in a tank top. Nifa says how she wished she could have seen Levi, as Petra discusses Levi's ripped body. Petra continues by claiming that not everyone can wear a sleeveless shirt well, giving Oluo as an example that would not work. However, Oluo happens to be standing in the same room, wearing a tank top. Hearing Petra's disrespectful comment, he silently leaves. Nifa wonders if someone had overheard them, but Petra states that she did not see anyone.

Sasha mentions that everyone is still discussing the girls. Mina questions how long it is going to last, but Mikasa echoes a common phrase on wonders lasting several days. Mina begins to criticize the vulgarity of the others' comments, before being interrupted by a cadet loudly discussing a new Corps Magazine release. The topic of conversation immediately switches from girls to comics, surprising the three girls. Mina points out the trivial nature of the previous discussion, propelling Mikasa to suggest that she is also disappointed about not being the focus of the conversation anymore. Sasha does not say a word, bothered with the duplicity of Mina and Mikasa.
