Can anyone explain to me how this man died in battle against the Titans? If anyone remembers the initial combat sequence in the first episode, Moses/Brown displayed incredible mastery over the Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear, as shown by his sharp turns, pivoting, windmills, and use of momentum. It is important to note that they were up against a normal Titan, and I cannot see how a man of his caliber died so easily. Thoughts? GriffinSanders (talk) 04:21, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
We may never know. Maybe he killed the Titan and they were ambushed by others later. hfc2X 04:51, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
How do we know Braun was killed/ How do we know his name?
How do we know that Braun was the one who was eaten by a titan? The manga never revealed his name nor has the anime (even if the anime did it wouldn't be cannon). So what source gave us Braun's identity? (He is probably dead because if he was alive he would've been obliterated by the rocks thrown by the Beast TitanEthan Harmicar123 (talk) 19:46, June 29, 2016 (UTC)Ethan Harmicar 123
We know his name because his mother was yelling it hysterically when Shadis's expedition returned to Shiganshina. We know he's dead because all they brought back was his arm, implying the rest got eaten. If he was simply missing in action Shadis would have said so.
As for identifying Braun as the "Let's show this thing the power of the human race!" guy, I don't have a definite answer. My guess would be a connection made in the voice credits of the anime. --GodKingReiss (talk) 21:19, June 29, 2016 (UTC)
