    • Great Chapter and great backstory. I liked Kenny and I liked this chapter more

    • I liked the backstory, but we didn't really learn anything new that we couldn't have guessed. My favorite part was seeing Historia in her royal clothes doing their salute. I thought that was a very powerful image, and a sign that humanity is changing for the better. Or at the very least the Survey Corps would get much more support.

I was really hoping we would get to see Uri's full titan form. :(

    • R.I.P Kenny, also get to see Levi back story of him when he was a kid and Kenny raising him. All hail Queen Historia and when she went crazy laughing when she hit Levi lol and Mikasa was the only one who smiled hehe. Also Levi smiled for the first time in the manga if I remebered correctly.

    • Great chapter. Maybe it is just me but I like it more than the chapter 68. I like a lot Uri Reiss, I think it is a good character and a veru balanced one( it is not easy to create realistic god-like characters, not only in anime, but in every displinine) Uri Reiss have the perfect amount of do not giving a fuck and taking care of his subordinates. Also I like the new details about Kenny and of course Levi.

    • So, if Historia is queen...does that mean she's effectively retired from the Survey Corps? Or is she going to be one of those strong leaders who takes to the battlefield with her troops like in the days of old?

    • The chapter would have been absolutely perfect if the backstory had also clarified what kind of relationship (if any) Kenny, Levi, and Mikasa have. At this point, I'm thinking that Mikasa is Kenny's niece, and is Levi's cousin.

    • I didn't think Mikasa is that closely related. In the story it said that a "branch" of the Ackerman family went off into the counrtyside, I think it said countryside. I'm guessing it's more like a cousin's cousin. But yeah, it would have been nice to know more about their relation. Hopefully they expand more on Mikasa's parents later on though!

Edi: I feel Historia may not get to be on the front line anymore, but she woun't be kept out of the loop either.

    • Well, Kenny frequently mentioned that the Ackermans were a "warrior clan" (or something to that extent), and Mikasa's superior fighting skills would certainly suggest that she has a natural talent that she could have inherited from her family.

    • I'm not saying she doesn't have Ackerman blood flowing through her, or that she's not an Ackerman at all. But if it did say clan instead of family,  then it's likely she's not as closely related to Levi and Kenny as everyone thinks. Not to mention, Kenny's own wording in the flashback made it seem like they weren't that closely related. He certainly didn't seem to put that much effort into finding them as he did for Kuchel.

    • I also recall Mikasa mentioning that her family lived in the countryside of Shiganshina because her family wasn't welcome in the capitol. (Again, I'm paraphrasing, as it has been a while since I read the chapter), but that could hint that her family was shunned for their relationship to Kenny the Ripper. I realize there is not much to back up the claim, but I myself think that all of this could hint at a close familial relationship, such as Mr. Ackerman and Kenny being brothers. As for why Kenny spent more time looking for Kuchel than Mr. Ackerman, well... I think it's pretty obvious from her health and job that she was worse off than Mr. Ackerman. Or, Kenny might just care more about her sister, or look at her as his "frail little sister who needs as much help as possible", whereas he doesn't worry about his brother Mr. Ackerman because he can do just fine on his own.

    • I don't recall reading anything like the first part you mentioned. But regardless of their relationship, it is just as likely that he felt they were better of compared to Kuchel. It's time for Isayama to stop teasing with this. T_T

    • I love how the Ackermans have it in their blood to be Kingsguard. Levi and Kenny were wild, unfettered and chaotically powerful until they found their 'king' to serve, and then become utterly loyal to that person. It was more natural for Mikasa/Eren since she was younger and more innocent but he definitely triggered and earned her power as a protector. When in the hands of Uri Kenny lost it in the face of one more powerful then he, but then aknowledged it and never even considered insurrection or abusing his power when talking to the MP..Levi was the same way until Erwin earned his trust.

Its definitely part of their Ackerman bloodline, curious to see a flashback maybe through the use of the coordinate memories of what happened 100 years ago and what the reiss line did to lose the faith of the Ackermans, it couldn't have been simply the lack of the memory wipe, it was most likely whatever horrific act the Reiss' did to NEED to wipe the memory of the people that the Ackermans couldn't abide

Very interesting observation, I haven't noted that the Ackermans seem to be always destined to be the loyal right hand men/ bodyguards of some leader; at least the "awakened" ones. Kenny said they were warriors close to the king but this was not only for their skills, it seems as some kind of fate they have.
