    • Interesting episode.

A big part of this episode was Eren choosing what Military Division he wanted to go to. I wonder where the other top 10's planned on going SPOILER: before the liberation of Trost.

    • SPOILER: Notice how Annie's eyes when she strikes the target have the same glow the Female titan has in the second opening
SPOILER: I wonder why Reiner decides to provoke Annie like that if they all trained togeter as warriors, why does he kind of tries to test her something?

SPOILER: He probably slipped into his "soldier" persona at the time, forgetting his comradery with Annie which his "warrior" persona would remember.

    • Considering the alterations the writing team made to the order of events in these early episodes, they still managed to get all of the important stuff in there without sacrificing the pacing or tone. Kudos to them!

    • That ending though

SPOILER: On another occasion, he seems to doubt her loyalty to the Marleyans; I wonder if he was testing her resolve.

SPOILER: Maybe he was just pulling her leg. I personally don't think that Reiner tested Annie's loyality, he was more like just to have a fun with friendly provoking the lone wolf (although it's true that he (intentionally?) spared some hints about Annie's real identity). And he surely wanted to see Eren's expression while being flipped :-)

      Perhaps.

SPOILER: Hm. Let's see... Annie followed her original decision, so she joined the Millitary Police. According her mission, this was an only option for her. Marco clearly wanted to join the Police too, he just didn't have a chance to do so. Both Connie & Jean were heavily interested into being in Police too, but Connie reversed his decision because of Jean and Jean was influenced by Marco's death. So at least four of the 104th Training Corps would enter the Pollice, if the Trost attack would never come. Eren was already sure about him being a part of the Survey Corps and Mikasa would (always) do the same. So the only top 10s we are not sure about their original decisions are Reiner, Bertold (why they didn't joined the Police too?), Historia and Sasha

    • This is a solid episode that SPOILER: Gave us some insight into the minds of Annie and Reiner, and showed that humanity was once again letting down their guard after 5 years of no major Titan attacks.

P.S.: Anyone else click the button reply and sometimes your message completely disappears and you have to retype it? It seems like half of the time I try to post a comment on one of these threads that happens to me.

Happens to me too, but not frequently, about 3 or 4 times so far.

    • I think what might be happening is I have the page loaded, and then I go away for a little bit, and someone replies and I haven't refreshed the page, so somehow it screws things up.
