The anime will go on a break after today's episode #49 (S3 E12) and will return next year.

SPOILER: After this, I think they will try and jump right into the Marley arc as soon as possible. I don't know how long the break between seasons will be but the big issue that could pop up is the dreaded slew of 'filler episodes'. Because the Marley arc is still ongoing and the longest arc so far (to my knowledge), there's always the fear that the anime will try and condense more chapters into one episode to try and catch up. That will leave them throwing out filler after filler episodes to try and buy themselves time while Isayama works on the next issue. It happened with One Piece during the 'Dressrosa Arc' and it dragged on for far too long; I don't want it to see it happen here.
I am pretty sure after the Return to Shiganshina arc in the anime. They are gonna take a break until the manga has reached its conclusion, as you said the SPOILER: Marley Arc is probably the longest arc thus far and its gonna take some time & trimming the fat to make it work for a season 4 without using too much filler.

SPOILER: Marley arc ended a long time ago, after they got back to Paradis. We're in a new arc right now but as of now we don't have a name for it so we gotta wait

The Paridise Arc.
We'll have to wait for the new arc name.
SPOILER: The manga has been calling this "Marley Arc" from Vol 24 onward (it's in the front with the character profiles, so you don't see this on chapter releases). However, the most recent four chapters are going to be in Vol 27, which has not been published yet in Japan. That comes out in December. If that volume also says Marley arc, then we're still in the same story arc as far as Isayama is concerned. If it's called something else, we'll know then and fans will adjust to the new name accordingly.

Okay. Thanks for that clarification by the way.
