    • Man this episode, so many things to come. Did any one  find that ending scene freaky as hell? that took me off guard. Especially we have to wait another 6 months to see next episode.

    • OH GOD. Yes! I am so d*mn glad I didn't spoil the ED for myself. That was terrifying. It sent chills down my spine , which is what AoT happens to specialize in. Also, black-haired soldier got a name! Hooray! I've been waiting for a name for months!

SPOILER: What's the scene in the twelfth frame of this: https://imgur.com/a/14B30kc? A Reddit user separated the frames and now there's an imgur file. I'm guessing that it's foreshadowing Karl Fritz.

SPOILER: Showing the serum scene that early in was a good decision. Wow, I'm even more hyped for the next cour. Really glad that these chapters were included with the Uprising arc.

    • Damn, that ending terrified me. Talk about startling. I have one slight thought about how the ED's contents affects the article, though. (no direct story spoilers) SPOILER: The short scene inside the ending comes from chapter 84, about half way through the next arc. It's a perfect choice to make people shook though. seeing as it's... yeah, what it is... it might affect the adaptation thing as it does take from *another* chapter.

    • SPOILER: Okay episode but im still mad we didnt find out what was in the basement and i didnt get the end scene, was it like a scene of things to come? It made no sense. And how long will we have to wait till we see them take on beast titan, armored titan and colossal titan? Do we got to wait till the season finale?

    • I have a question...

How do they plan to get to wall Maria? Last time they needed an entire flare shooting formation to get forward. What now? Are they using Eren's titan controlling ability to make Titans go away when they get to close? They never even showed that Eren mastered that ability… They only talked about him training the crystal thing for months...

    • SPOILER: What I dont get is how does reclaiming a wall stop the titans?

Notice the time of day they are leaving. It's sunset. They're travelling at night, when Titans are not supposed to be active. I assume they don't normally do this because they need to see. Previous expeditions towards reclaiming Wall Maria required supply transport, which would probably require a slower travel time due to the wagons. Also, if you hit a pothole in the middle of the night with a wagon, good luck fixing it before sunrise. But this time they plan on plugging the breach through Eren's hardening so there is no need to lay down a supply line.

I think Levi briefly discussed this in the first episode of Season 3 when they were in the cabin in the woods for Eren to practice, though it might have been cut during the manga to anime transition.

The answer's not a manga spoiler, nor is your question. The Survey Corps has been trying to do this ever since the Wall was breached. In a nutshell, fixing Wall Maria stops the Titans from coming inside the three Walls, which is restoring the status quo at the start of the series. The Titans that remain between Wall Maria and Wall Rose would then be a finite number that could be hunted down and people could resettle their old land. The goal isn't to "stop" the Titans so much as get everyone's land back. Stopping the Titans permanently would be something for another day.

    • i see thanks but if they dont stop the titans, they will just cause another hole

    • One step at a time. :) Levi and Erwin talked about his plans after reclaiming Wall Maria. They know Wall Maria is not end game.

    • i have a feeling that taking out the 3 main titans is going to be much harder than taking down rod reiss titan

    • The supply thing sounds weird to me... Once they plug the wall don't they need supplies to handle all the freaking Titans that were already inside? That doesn't seem like a 1 day deal...

    • The details of this might have been cut from the anime, but Levi didn't mean the supplies for feeding everybody or weapons. If they were manually plugging Wall Maria (without Eren's hardening) they would need stone and lumber. Those are the supplies they would have had to drag all the way out to Wall Maria for the repair job. Not having to worry about that makes traveling faster.

    • That makes a bit more sense. But i Always assumed that back then, if they somehow reached wall Maria. That they would plug it with a boulder just like the other wall. I never thought they were actually carrying lumber and i don't think the show mentioned this either.

Different observation… Why were all civilians routing for Levi/Hange and stuff but none of them for Eren? Who is literally the Key for plugging the wall and they all saw him defeat Rod Reiss's Titan aswell. Minor gripe. But i don't understand why the civilians didn't care about wishing him any luck.

    • The boulder was very convenient for Trost. It happened to already be sitting in the city near the breach. They probably couldn't expect to be that lucky a second time. Big boulders don't grow on trees. :)

As for the citizens, my guess is that they just don't know Eren by name. Levi is famous and has a reputation. As far as Eren goes, the average citizen knows the Survey Corps has a Titan who plugged up the wall in Trost. Who that Titan is (or if it's even a person) is probably unknown to the general population.

There's a scene with Dimo Reeves that was cut from the anime, and it makes it pretty clear that he has no idea Eren can turn into a Titan. If he knew he probably wouldn't have tried to kidnap him.

Wasn't there a big rock on top of Eren's house?

    • A rock crashed into his house, but it wasn't a convenient shape. I don't remember about the anime, but looking at the manga, the rock is shaped roughly like a disc, so if you could put it on the thin side it would probably be tall enough, but there's no way it would stay standing that way. It would probably fall over on its own or with a little push from a regular Pure Titan.
