  • could it be possible that an ackerman can turn into a titan, regardless of him or her being immune to the founding titans abilities?

i mean, just because they're immune to the coordinate doesnt really mean that they can't turn into titans, right? and technically they ARE eldians, meaning the chances of them turning into titans could be relativley high.

also, if they do, can they really turn into pure titans, seeing that they can harness the power of the titans without transforming. i know kenny mentioned that if he was to inject the syrum into him, he'll turn into a pure titan but that theory hasnt been tested or proven, for all we know its just an hypothesis.

    what do you guys think.

    • It should be possible. In a Q&A Isayama was asked what would happen if the Ackerman and Reiss families had a kid together. His answer was that both bloodlines would be represented in the child. Since you can't become the Founding Titan without being turned into a pure Titan, we can extrapolate from Isayama's answer that there's nothing about being an Ackerman that prevents someone from becoming a Titan.

You probably wouldn't want to turn an Ackerman into a Titan though. Given that they were intentionally developed as guardians of the royal family and they placed crazy amounts of devotion and strength in a human-sized body, it's pretty obvious the Ackermans were designed for human-sized conflicts. That they happen to be good at fighting Titans was likely secondary since a ruling Founding Titan during Eldia's heyday would have been able to control Titans at will and would not have been in danger from them.

    • If the ackermans could turn into titans it could be the solution to ending the titans, I think the reason why the founding titan can't controle theme is because they are connected by different "paths" than the other eldians which means if an ackerman eats all 9 titans and dies and he was the last ackerman the titans will not go to anyone else.

that makes so much sense. i mean seeing that Eren's goal is getting all 9 titans to end the titans, his efforts will be fruitless since he'll be making a repeat of what happen to Ymir Fritz when she got her titan abilities
