3. Yes it largely rests on having JS to actually convert… converters run the gauntlet from changing hundreds of images at a time at once… to twenty at a time really slowly, that you have to tend to otherwise it cancels XD I’ll see if there is already a standard one on Fandom, or if it needs to be created. For adding categories and templates and the like, the timer is established to keep things nice and gradual so that should be able to be applied here. It is a LOT of images so good points about making use of the cloud to bear in mind.

4. 5. And 6. Could be a separate thing all together, excellent idea to combine them, the mass delete is something to go on for removing the jpg. ones. At least that is something that for sure is real; hopefully the others can be made/discovered. A script to upload images would be a major prize. The multiple photo uploader is nice and all, just need something more heavy duty in general for image uploads!

Turns out even there it’s not exactly common knowledge; you are the light in the dark here!

but if you want me to tell you how I would do it

Yes please and thank you,

1. Something like the find and replace script could see to that. When adding categories or adding/removing, say “File:” it can list the images and 2. treats the image the same across the pages it can be found, so those options appear all good and established in JS ready to apply.

This is all fantastic stuff to go on and looks doable where I would have thought it would be impractical before. I’ll take this excellent start to the Dev Wiki and if things go even better than planned, even if it’s all gravy here I hope my heartfelt thanks for you help is a nice return!
