— Yunohira's last words

Yunohira (ユノヒラ Yunohira?) was a member of the Garrison featured in the television series Attack on Titan: Hangeki No Noroshi and in the film Attack on Titan, The Movie: Part 1 portrayed by Kamio Yu.

Appearance

Yunohira's dark hair was combed to the left side. He had a mustache and a small beard, and regularly wore the typical Scout Regiment uniform.

Personality

Yunohira appeared to be a very professional man and took the danger his job placed him in seriously, making sure to let new recruits know not to do anything that would attract Titans. He also seemed to genuinely care about his soldiers, as he allowed himself to become so preoccupied with trying to calm them down that he failed to notice a nearby Titan trying to grab him.

Story

Attack on Titan: Hangeki No Noroshi

Attack on Titan, The Movie: Part 1

Yunohira is one of the soldiers who participates in the mission to reseal that outer Wall following its breach by the Colossal Titan. On the final night before the joint military force departs on its mission, Yunohira watches Eren and Jean get into a fight with each other in the middle of the mess hall.

As the military is preparing to depart under the cover of night, Yunohira explains to all of the recruits that they will have to remain quiet during the trip, as Titans are sensitive to noise.

On the way to Omotemachi, the commanders hear noises nearby and stop the convoy so that they can investigate and ensure that they have not roused any Titans. As they are preparing to depart again, the sound of a Titan's cry begins drawing more Titans toward their position. Yunohira tries to calm down the recruits and keep them quiet, but as he is doing so a Titan suddenly appears and grabs him.

Later, one of the recruits throws the Titan that grabbed Yunohira, causing it to spit up Yunohira's body.
